Powder Coated Paint Service

If you have almost any metal object that you would like to have finished in powder coated paint, please contact us. The object does NOT have to be purchased from REP Design, as we offer this as a service to our customers. For obvious reasons only objects that can be reasonably shipped would be of consideration!

Examples of items you might want finished in powder coated paint:

• brackets that a REP Design product will be bolted to, to match the finish on the REP Design product
• antenna mounts and brackets made by other companies
• your antenna or antenna part.

Basic requirements for powder coated paint process:

• the part must be able to withstand the oven temperature that are use to cure the paint powder (e.g. soldered parts can not be coated)
• heavy grease or oil should be removed before processed - an optional media bead blast pre-paint helps to clean the metal its bare surface
• many metals can be painted with this method: aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and many other metals.
• some metals require a primer, for example to cover chrome plated steel

The powder coated paint shop (Becker's Powder House) that we use finishes almost any size metal object in a very wide variety of colors and even does metal flake and clear-coat finishes. Bob, the owner of the shop, has finished his 1970's Camaro frame in a nice black powder coat paint, very similar to the black that is one of the standard colors on REP Design products. He finishes numerous car parts, wheels, motorcycle and dirt bike frames, hot water heat radiators, lawn furnature, antenna mounts (!!), and many other objects. Feel free to contact them directly if you are in the Connecticut area, or REP Design would be pleased to handle your part for you. One of REP Design's business goals is to provide useful information to our customers, or non-customers who visit our web site, as we all gain by sharing knowledge even if it does not profit us directly! Custom Design Antenna Mount Service

If you see a REP Design product that does not quite meet your needs, requires a different diameter hole or antenna mount, or simply have a design or idea for a different type of mount please contact us! We have already gotten ideas from others, for example, the "SARM-100" and "SBKT-200".
