"BKT_HondaRL" Multiple HFV/UHF Antenna Mounts

Bolt-on multi-antenna bracket for Honda Ridgeline that looks "factory installed. It bolts to the front upper tie down brackets and is 51" long x 4" wide with 1-9/16" tall sides - NO DRILLING REQUIRED. The antenna mounting area is 3/16". It can fit at least 3 HF/V/UHF antennas. Available in buffed aluminum or powder coated finishes. Very unique, there is nothing else like it! Both models are made from 6061 aluminum and include 18-8 stainless steel hardware. It mounts above the factory Honda bed cover, and can be used with the bed cover open or closed.

BKT-HondaRL-1: "Standard model" for essentially any size V/UHF mobile antenna and small to medium sized HF antennas.

BKT-HondaRL-2: "HF super duty" model for one medium to large HF screwdriver/motorized antenna that can mount into a 3/4" diameter hole with a 11/16" panel thickness, in addition to at least two V/UHF antennnas.

Generally, up to 3 antennas can be used with either of the BKT models – there is actually space for up to 5 antennas. Here are some suggestions for installing multiple antennas so that they will not interfere with each other or cause harm to other radios.These suggestions apply to ANY multiple antenna installation, whether or not it uses our "BKT" mount.

If you connect multiple antennas to one radio, you may need to use a combiner/duplexer/ band pass filters if your radio does not have an antenna jack for each band. Combiners/duplexers are readily available from ham radio dealers.
If you use multiple radios with multiple antennas it is VERY IMPORTANT to ensure that transmitting on one radio and antenna does not affect or damage another receiver connected to another antenna. You can use band pass filters or band rejection filters and other means to help limit the amount of RF that can get into a receiver when another radio is transmitting.

BKT_HondaRL-1: "Standard" Model

The standard model ("RL-1") is designed to hold at least one to three HF/V/UHF antennas, of any size up to small to medium sized HF antennas. Here is a list of the types of antennas that can be mounted with the standard "Model 1":

Please note that NO ANTENNA HOLES are drilled in the "BKT_HondaRL-1" (Model 1) unless you request them with your order (below). You can easily drill the holes yourself, as the BKT is made of aluminum. Be sure your antenna bases are able to mount into a panel thickness of 3/16 inch. You can drill antenna holes anywhere between the four bolts on top of the BKT - the diagram below shows three suggested locations and the locations that we drill at if ordered. We also sell ANTENNA BASES that work with the BKT.

Model "RL-1" does not come with any drilled antenna holes, but you can easily do this yourself. All MOUNTING holes are already drilled. If you would like us to drill any antenna holes, please order them below.

Order predrilling of holes (0-3) by locations (L, M, R): NONE, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 inch diameter.

Please refer to the diagram above for the hole locations (L, M, R) - the directions are from the perspective of looking at the BKT from the back of the truck, facing forward. For example, in "right hand drive countries (e.g. North America), the left (L) hole is the drivers side.
For all countries, it is recommended that the largest / longest antenna be mounted on the DRIVER SIDE for overhead clearance reasons (in left hand drive countries this is the "R" location). If you do not see your hole diameter shown, please CONTACT US - we can drill any antenna hole diameter up to 1 inch.

Specify LEFT (L) HOLE (even if "NONE" requested): If you order one of our antenna bases there is no charge to drill the hole, please select "for REP Design Base"

BKT_HondaRL-2: "HF hd" Model

The "HF hd" model ("RL-2") is designed to hold one medium to large HF screwdriver / motorized antenna and at least one to two HF/V/UHF antennas up to small to medium sized HF antenna. Here is a list of the types of antennas that can be mounted with the "RL-2":

The pre-drilled 3/4" hole on the left side is designed for medium to larger HF screwdriver / motorized antennas that mount into a 3/4" diameter hole - the panel thickness here is 11/16". You might need to use a longer antenna base bolt if your antenna comes with a bolt designed for a thinner panel thickness such as 1/2". We sell longer bolts in our PARTS section. The following are types of antennas that will fit the "RL-2" model:

Medium HF screwdriver / motorized (base diameter to 2 inches): High Sierra HS1500, HS1800; Hi Q (all except "ruggedized"); Tarheel full sized, etc.

Large HF screwdriver / motorized (base dia. 2.5 inches): Hi Q Antennas "ruggedized" models, etc.

Ex. Lg. HF Screwdriver / Motorized (base dia. 3 - 4 inches): Scorpion Antennas models
The "HF hd" model ("RL-2") is designed to hold at least one to two additional HF/V/UHF antennas, of any size up to small to medium sized HF antennas. Here is a list of the types of antennas that can be mounted into the middle "M" and right "R" antenna hole locations. Please note we do NOT drill holes in these two locations unless ordered below.

Essentially ANY mobile VHF - UHF (6m and above); includes GMRS and commercial bands

Small HF: "ham sticks", Huster loading coil, Outbacker "wonder lead", manually tuneable (Super Antennas MP1, MFJ-1624), etc.

Small/medium HF screwdriver / motorized: High Sierra Sidekick, Tarheel Little Tarheel, Super Antennas MP2, etc.

CB radio (11m band): essentially any mobile CB antenna
If your antenna is designed to be installed in a mount that has two points of support (e.g. High Sierra and Tarheel full sized modesl, Hi Q "standard" 5/160, etc.), then you will also need our optional UHAM-150 universal fit adjustable mount, which bolts to the 3/4" hole pre-drilled for a larger HF antenna. This also requires a "UHAM150 mounting kit for RL-2". If you are not sure if your antenna will work, please CONTACT US for a speedy reply.

Please note that only ONE HOLE is pre-drilled on the left end (3/4" diameter) for a medium to larger HF screwdriver / motorized antenna). You can easily drill additional holes yourself, as the BKT is made of aluminum. Be sure your antenna bases are able to mount into a panel thickness of 3/16 inch. The only difference in the "RL-2" model is that the left mounting plate is longer (see second photo) and a 3/4 inch hole is drilled in this plate and the corresponding part in the top of the BKT, to form a reinforced area for mounting a larger HF screwdriver / motorized antenna (top photo does not show the two spacers that are included).
