Our AMB L-Bracket products are designed to fit a variety of mobile antennas, for mobile and fixed base use. Our AMB products are made of very high quality materials, including 6061 aluminum and 18-8 stainless steel.

We offer an antenna extension in one, two and custom lengths.

• AMB-AntExtend-2.5: Solid aluminum antenna extension for Hi Q Antennas "ruggedized" 5 and 6 series antennas to make the mast below the coil longer. The Hi Q antennas come with a mast that is approximately 2 feet long below the loading coil. If mounted on a bumper or trailer hitch this may place the loading coil below your vehicle roof line. The "AntExtend" allows you to raise the antenna 1, 2 or a custom length and place the antenna coil higher. It will fit any antenna with a bottom diameter of 2.5 inches and 1/2x20 mounting hardware.

The option numbers are not all in order below and some are skipped, as we number other product lines this way as well if they can also be used as options and accessories with our other product lines.

AMB-AntExtend-2.5: Solid aluminum antenna extension for Hi Q Antennas "ruggedized" 5 and 6 series antennas to make the mast below the coil longer. Comes in 1 and 2 ft. lengths or your custom ordered length.

The Hi Q "ruggedized" military 5 and 6 series antennas come with a mast that is approximately 2 feet long below the loading coil. If mounted on a bumper or trailer hitch this may place the loading coil below your vehicle roof line. The "AntExtend" allows you to raise the antenna 1, 2 or a custom length and place the antenna coil higher, and potential increase your antenna efficiency. It will fit any antenna with a bottom diameter of 2.5 inches and 1/2x20 mounting hardware. You will need the mounting hardware that Hi Q provides with their antenna.

It should be noted that if you extend the antenna too much you might loose 10m, especially with a medium or long length whip or use of a capacity hat.

The "AntExtend" comes with a stainless steel 1/2x20 stud so you have what you need to bolt it between the antenna and your mount, with the hardware that Hi Q provides. It also comes with a heavy duty 1/2 inch solder lug, for fastening our coax center conductor to the bottom antenna bolt. This is one item that is not included by Hi Q; we selected a very heavy duty lug that is heavier than your "standard auto store" version and is not available in some local stores. The "AntExtend" is used with the special 1 inch diameter antenna base that the "ruggedized" antennas screw into.

The "AntExtend" is available in our standard "hand buffed" bare aluminum and our five standard powder coated finishes (black, red, white, blue and clear-coat).

The photo below shows what you get: bare aluminum or powder coated extension (1 or 2 ft. lengths standard), 1/2x20 stainless steel stud and heavy duty 1/2 inch solder lug.

The photo below shows the "AntExtend" with the antenna mounting hardware that is provided by Hi Q Antennas with their 5 and 6 series ruggedized HF motorized antennas. At the top of the "AntExtend" is the special adapter with the 1 inch threaded stud that screws into the antennas. Below the "AntExtend" is our heavy duty solder lug (not provided by Hi Q) and the additional hardware that Hi Q provides with their ruggedized antennas: two 2.5 inch diameter insulating wafers, 1/2x20 stainless steel hex bolt, and large diameter stainless steel washer.
