Also include nicely made heavy-duty and rust-free SO239 nuts (not the flimsey ones that normally come with SO239's - we shopped around and finally found the ones suited for our products). Our "Standard" Antenna Bases: 3/8x24 Stud, NMO & SO239 ("UHF/PL259") These three bases fit most of the V/UHF mobile antennas and many of the smaller HF antennas. They are also the ones that come with our "L" brackets and the CLAMP-150 "clamp to anything" portable mount for HF/V/UHF mobile anteanns. We have priced them the same - there really is "one price fits all".... We add extra stainless steel hardware, if required, to fit these bases into a 3/4" diameter hole, so they are INTERCHANGEABLE on our brackets. Therefore, if you buy one type you can always buy another later - they will fit! Some of them will also fit a smaller hole without the included custom hardware - read below for the details. SHD_SO239: SO239 Base for 3/8x24 Stud Mounted HF Antennas

We have two versions of the "SHD_SO239_LA" Series of SO239 adapters. The only difference is the width of the "L" bracket, to accomodate either 2.0" or 2.5" diameter insulating wafers (not included). Both come with a 1/8" thick x 1-7/8" x 2-7/8"  x 2.0 / 2.5" wide aluminum bracket. There is a 3/4" diameter hole for the antenna mounting bolt and insulating wafers - we even include a 1/2" long, 3/4" OD nylon insulating tube to help center the "LA" around your mount hole. The SO239 is stainless steel. There is a very short #14 gauge wire that connects the SO239 to a solder lug for placing under the antenna bolt that comes with your antenna. The "LA's" come standard in buffed aluminum or optional powder coated finishes (5 colors) - the base on powder coated versions is bare aluminum to provide a good ground to your antenna mount - ATTENTION TO DETAIL!

These can be used with ANY ANTENNA as these brackets are supported by the antenna bolt - unlike our first version (SHD_SO239) that can only support certain antennas since it is what holds the base of the antenna. They will also work with antennas with 1/2" mounting bolts!

The "LA" series of SHD-SO239's are replacing our original "SHD_SO239" base as this was limited to certain types of antennas and mounts, and would not work with antennas that have a larger 1/2" bolt - we listen to our customers who wanted these features - here are our new versions!
