Custom-made quick disconnects, high quality coax & jumper cables, "the real deal" Amphenol and other good quality PL259 & SO239 connectors. We use high quality Belden RG8 coax for our custom made jumper cables.
I only sell high quality cables and connectors and am not trying to compete with the sellers of the least expensive connectors. The connectors and cables I sell match the quality of own products, and in fact are used in some of our products. Some of the connectors we sell are quite expensive since they are geared more toward the commercial radio market and are sold by a limited number of suppliers. These are also what I use in my own installations, since I've had bad luck over the past several years with lesser expensive connectors.
The decision to buy a lesser vs. a more expensive connector is simply a matter of one's preferrence and willingness to risk getting inexpensive but poorly made connectors. Not all of the lesser expensive connectors are bad, yet I've found more and more are during the past 5 or more years as companies are seeking the lowest possible manufacturing costs and it seems are putting quality aside.

"CNCT" Complete System
 
The CNCT_PL259-WXQD is our custom designed and made weatherproof PL259 coax quick disconnect, for mobile and outdoor installations, for protecting your coax plug when your antenna is removed, includes weather cap and ¼” mounting bolt.
Have you ever removed your antenna from your vehicle or fixed base location, only to wonder what to do with the PL259 plug so it was not "hanging in the wind and rain"? Or have you unwrapped the electrical tape from your PL259 plug so you could remove your antenna ?
These are the questions I was pondering before coming up with the solution that has worked well for me and resulted in the "CNCT-PL259-WXQD"! I occassionally remove my trailer hitch mounted HF motorized antenna when taking my car to the repair shop and during winter weather when the roads are heavily deiced - I don't want to corrode my motorized antenna! Since the antenna is on a hitch receiver it can be removed in a couple of minutes but the coax and PL259 plug was an issue - I had run the coax through the rear door on my stationwagon but because of the tight spacing of the door the coax was taking a beating. I wanted a way to run the coax through a rubber plug on the trunk floor and leave it there, with some way to keep the plug protected when the antenna was off and also while being use. The "PL259 WXQD" is my solution - see the two photos below (note that the PL259 plug in the photo had not yet been weatherproofed when the photo was taken - this end is always connected). This solution also works well on fixed-base antennas, where you want to switch antennas or take the antenna inside when not being use, especially in antenna restricted areas.
 
Test Results
The "CNCT" has been tested to have very low loss: only 1 watt (1%) loss was measured through the "CNCT", on 10m and 6m. To see the test results, click > TEST RESULTS. The "CNCT" has been tested by N7EMW at 100 watts.
Body Style Change - January 2011
The manufacturer of the "CNCT" PVC body changed the style and internal threads and therefore the pre-January 2011 "CNCT's" (complete system or either half) are no longer compatible with the new version. We have a couple of the old bodies left to supply customers with the old style, but once gone the old style is no longer available. For new customers this change is actually an ADVANTAGE, as the new body style is sleaker looking and very slightly smaller. The image below shows the differences. Please note this also resulted in another price increase from our supplier, hence we had to slightly raise the price after a year or more of supplier increases. This is actually a fairly hard part to get, in one body style consistently. The internal connectors and operation of the "CNCT" have not changed.
You can tell if you have the old or new style - the label on the new style shows CNCT-PL259-WXQD(b).
We now provide the following "CNCT PL259 WXQD" "halves" for sale, if you have multiple antennas or multiple vehicles. If ordering any of the "halves", please email us if you purchased your "CNCT" BEFORE January 1, 2011 so we can provide you with the old style body if we have any left. Sorry about any inconvenience this may cause.

"CNCT" Extra Antenna Half
This is the extra "antenna half" to use multiple antennas at one location - has the same connectors as the complete system. For example, you can use multiple antennas on one vehicle, or use one antenna on your vehicle and fixed base location.
"CNCT" Extra Mounted Half + Weather Cap
This is the extra "mounted half" with extra "weather cap" to use one antenna at multiple locations - has the same connectors and weather cap as the complete CNCT system. For example, use one antenna on your vehicle and fixed base or on two vehicles.

Please note in March 2010 I raised the price $5.00 but reduced some shipping charges by a dollar or two - my material costs from my suppliers were high to begin with but have gone up a few times over the past year and I finally had to raise the price. Considering the manufacturing and material costs, this is really a low profit item for me. I can relate that this is an expensive item, but considering how it works and that it is truly unique, hopefully you will find it worth the cost. I've found this a very useful item on my own installation and it has lasted a few years through Connecticut winters with all the deicing salt and summer heat.

Ready Made Antenna Jumper Cables (1 Conductor)
We offer the following ready-made jumper cables, made from Belden RG8 coax and Amphenol PL259 connectors. We use HD solder lugs on those cables with ends terminated with solder lugs.
(a) JUMPER_PL259_1.5 (1/4,3/8 or 1/2 solder lug): antenna center conductor jumper cable (no shield) to connect antenna base to SO239 connector on mount - 1.5 ft. long, Amphenol PL259, made from Belden RG8 coax - CHOICE of solder lug (1/4, 3/8 or 1/2") .
(b) JUMPER_PL259_shunt100: antenna center conductor jumper cable (no shield) to connect SHUNT100 to coax "Tee", 7.5 in. long, Amphenol PL259 & 1/4" HD solder lug, made from Belden RG8.

This cable is used to connect the "hot side" of your antenna via the antenna base bolt, to the SO239 barrel connector on several of our flat mounts. The PL259 is an Amphenol 83-1SP plug and you can order the solder lug (we solder the connector) in sizes 1/4", 3/8" (most common antenna base bolt size) or 1/2" (Hi Q "ruggedized" HF motorized antennas). We also install heat shrink tubing. This is a ONE conductor cable made from Belden RG8. NOTE: YOUR CHOICE of one lug is soldered on the cable with heat shrink tubing - the photo shows them unsoldered for illustration purposes only.

This cable is used to connect the 1/4" wing nut on our SHUNT100 HF load inductor, mounted on our "UHAM " , AMB L mounts and "BKT " flat mounts, to a PL259 "tee" connector (not included) on the base of your antenna. This jumper is to be installed parallel with your coax center conductor. The jumper is 7.5 inches long, which is long enough to fit our mounts. If you need a slightly longer cable for "another brand" mount, you may need to order the one above which is 1.5 feet long. NOTE: This cable is similar to the one in the photo EXCEPT only has a 1/4" solder lug.

Custom RG-8 Cables - Made To YOUR Specifications
We now make custom RG8 cables to your specifications, any length, using high quality material: Belden RG8 coax, Amphenol PL259 plugs and/or heavy-duty solder lugs that take 16 to 12 gauge wire. Cables terminated with PL259 plugs on BOTH ends is 100% shielded. Cables terminate with solder lugs on either end is 97% shielded, for assembly purposes (the foil covering the center conductor cannot be removed). We can provide the following terminations:

Amphenol #83-1SP PL259 plug, solder type, silver plated pin and body.

Solder lugs, HD for #16-12 wire, to fit bolt sizes 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2".

No terminations on ONE end, stripped or not, length that center conctor is stripped can be specified.

REMEMBER - for cables with PL259 plugs on BOTH ends, be sure to check that the plug diameter will fit through whatever opening you may need to run your cable through!

We now offer "the real deal" Amphenol PL259 ("UHF") connectors - we ship these world wide. These are expensive as they are made mainly for commercial radio installations.
Amphenol #83-1SP - PL259 ("UHF") Plug
This is a high quality PL259 plug, solder type, with silver plated pin and body. It fits RG8 size coax by itself, or RG58 (with 175 reducer) or RG8X (with 176 reducer). Please note at this time we do not sell reducers, but if interested CONTACT US for a price.

SO239 Barrel Connector - 2 inches long, nice HD nuts
Good quality 2 inch long SO239 barrel connector - we add our NICELY MACHINED heavy-duty rust proof nuts (nickel plated brass) - normally SO239 connectors either come with very thin light duty or poorly made heavy duty nuts that I have found rust very quickly. This is the part we use in our SO239 and NMO antenna bases.
