SARM-100 Side Arm to Use the UHAM With a Trailer or Trailer Hitch Type Bike Rack
The SARM-100 is an extension bracket that allows you to use a UHAM-100, or another motorized antenna mount, WHILE USING A TRAILER or HITCH-MOUNTED BIKE RACK! Thw SARM bolts to your trailer hitch ball, and the mount bolts to the other end of the SARM.
The SARM is 11 inches long, and made from 2" wide by 3/4" thick Type 6061 aluminum stock. Both ends have a 1" diameter hole.

Photo below: SARM-100 shown in "Clear Coat" powder coated paint. The finish is clear glossy powder coat over a "satin finish" aluminum - satin finish results from media blasting the aluminum to prepare it for powder coating. This gives a REALLY NICE, UNIQUE, "glossy satin" finish - finish is similar to a metalic gray car paint.
The photo below shows a "matte black" powder coated SARM-100 mounted to a trailer hitch for "side mounting" a UHAM mount [UHAM model 100 mount shown to the left side of the photo, the UHAM-150 mounts the same way with the SARM]. In this configuration you can pull a trailer and STILL USE your HF antenna, both mounted to a trailer hitch.

There are multiple ways that this can be mounted - extend your UHAM-100 or your "any brand" antenna mount 11 inches to the side or farther to the back of your vehicle. Of course this is NOT to be used to pull a trailer, but can be mounted under a trailer hitch ball that is used to pull a trailer - use a trailer hitch ball with a shank that is long enough to bolt through the 3/4 inch-thick aluminum. |
